Under the leadership of our Head of Department, Lecturer Dr. Cumali YAŞAR, the faculty members of our department visited Prof.Dr. Evren KARAYEL GÖKKAYA, our vice-rector responsible for the Heads of Departments at the Rectorate of our University, in his office. During the visit, firstly, information was given about the current structure of the Department of Informatics and the courses carried out. Then, it was emphasised that the faculty members of our department take active roles in the Distance Education Centre of our University, European Union, TUBITAK, KOSGEB, Ministry and Technopark projects, and the falliyet and projects planned to be carried out were mentioned. In this context, firstly, information was given about the "Project Development Workshop with Artificial Intelligence" planned to be carried out in cooperation with the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA). Then, information was given about the trainings planned to be given by the faculty members of our department within the scope of the "Presidential Circular on the Use of Open Source Software in Public Sector". Finally, the METAVERSITY project, which is planned to be carried out under the leadership of Dr Zafer KARADAYI, one of the academic staff of our department, within the scope of Experiential Distance Education, which is thought to shape the higher education of the future, was mentioned.
